Importing & Exporting your HTML file/Template

Outlook Office 365/OWA

With Outlooks 365 ContactMonkey Web add in you do not have to export your template from the template once you have created the file. Simply click Save & Exit once completed.

To insert your template into your communication:

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click New Email on the top left corner
  3. Click the ContactMonkey Mail Merge icon on the top right corner. This will drop down the sending sidebar.
  4. The last 5 templates that you have created will appear directly under Email Templates in the sidebar To insert simply click Insert underneath your desired Template.

Note: the sidebar will show you only templates you have created. If you are sending a template a team member created, you should first Replicate it, so that it creates a copy in your name.

Outlook Desktop - COM Add-in
To export your template from the ContactMonkey Template Builder:
  1. Open the specific Template in the ContactMonkey Template Builder
  2. Click the downwards arrow on the top right
  3. Export HTML Email
  4. Wait 3-5 seconds until the export is complete.

To insert your template into your communication:

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Click the Mail Merge on the top right corner then click Mail Merge on desktop on the drop-down box.
  3. Click Import HTML on the top left corner and then upload the file from your computer. Please ensure you do not make any changes to the template once it is inserted in the body of the email. No matter how small the change is.
Gmail
With ContactMonkey Gmail Web add in you do not have to export your template from the template once you have created the file. Simply click Save & Exit once completed.

To insert your template into your communication:

  1. Open Gmail
  2. Click the Internal Comms button on ContactMonkey taskbar. This will open a new message window.
  3. Click the templates button on the new message window that opened. The last 5 templates that you have created will appear directly on your sending sidebar. To insert simply click Insert underneath your desired Template.
