What are revision comments?
In any step of your email creation process, you may want to share feedback and collaborate by leaving comments for your team. With ContactMonkey's Email Builder, you can approve revisions, give feedback, and reply to comments in each row.
If you tag a fellow ContactMonkey user in the email, they will receive an email notification with a link "Go to Comment", which directs them to their tagged comment in the email.
Enabling Comments
To make use of the tagging feature, you will need to enable it in your user settings. Go to your "Settings" in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard and select the "Notifications" checkbox.
1. Finding the revision button
In the Email Builder, hover over the row you would like to change. At the bottom of the row, you should see a new button that looks like a comment:
2. Leaving a Comment
To leave a comment, simply type into the "Add comment" field. From there, you can start typing "@" and get a list of all the teammates for your respective team:
Once you type in a comment, click "Submit".
3. Tagged User Notification
The user you tagged will then receive a notification in their inbox, notifying them of the comment and allowing them to redirect to the row within the Email. It should look something like this:
4. Viewing Comments
From the sidebar, you should see all the comments. Here we have existing comments, with a thread of team members who replied.
5. Resolving Comments
Once a comment has been approved or handled, you may wish to resolve it. To do this, click into the comment and click "Resolve" on the top right-hand side. This will then 'grey out' the comments, leaving way for active comments in need of responses.
