Suppose you (e.g. janesmith@contactmonkey.com) wish to send employee emails from a shared mailbox such as internalcommunications@contactmonkey.com through ContactMonkey. In that case, your pre-existing permissions are inherited from Outlook, and all the mailboxes you send 'From' will remain available.
Sending From A Secondary User Mailbox
Follow the below steps when sending from a secondary User Mailbox. Please note that your internal teams must provide permissions to the shared mailbox before starting.
Please note: Customers looking to send the Shared Mailbox should not be signed in as the shared box in Outlook. You should be signed in as your account, as it will be used to send the email as the shared mailbox. |
- Open a New Message window.
- Click the From dropdown and select 'Other Email Address'.
- In the From field, type the email address you want the email to come from. (e.g. internalcommunications@contactmonkey.com)
- Ensure Send Using is the Outlook account connected to ContactMonkey.
Please note: If there is no "Send Using" option, this means you are sending from a "Shared mailbox", in this scenario, simply select your shared mailbox using the "From" dropdown. |
Sending emails from a shared mailbox in Office 365 streamlines collaborative communication, making it ideal for teams with shared responsibilities. Shared mailboxes eliminate the need for forwarding or duplicating messages and present a cohesive communication strategy within organizations.
