Rows and content blocks in the Email Builder can be locked to prevent other team members from editing them. This ensures brand consistency and protects important template elements across your organization.
Who Can Lock Content
Only Account Owners and Administrators can lock/unlock rows or content blocks. Managers and Basic Users cannot modify locked content.
How to Lock Rows or Content Blocks
- Open your email or template in the Email Builder
- Select the row or content block you want to lock
- In the properties menu on the right, toggle the gray section to Locked

How Locked Content Works
When a row or content block is locked:
- Managers and Basic Users cannot edit, delete, or rearrange it
- Users will see an error message if they attempt to modify locked content
Locking Individual Content Blocks
You have flexible control over what gets locked:
- Lock an entire row to protect all content within it
- Lock individual content blocks, even within unlocked rows
- Unlock specific content blocks within a locked row to allow selective editing
Example: Lock a header row containing your logo, tagline, and navigation—but unlock just the navigation content block so users can update links while keeping branding protected.
