Before You Start
This guide is for the ContactMonkey Outlook Non-365 Add-in from an .exe file. If you installed ContactMonkey through the Microsoft Store, follow the steps here instead. Your IT Administrator can also uninstall the Add-in on your behalf.
Method 1: Uninstall from Windows Control Panel
This is the recommended method to completely remove ContactMonkey from your computer.
- Open Control Panel on your computer
- Navigate to Programs and Features
- Right-click ContactMonkey Outlook Add-In
- Click Uninstall
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the removal
- Restart Outlook

Method 2: Uninstall from Outlook
- Open Outlook and go to your main inbox
- Click File → Options
- Select Add-ins from the left sidebar
- At the bottom of the window, select COM Add-ins from the dropdown menu next to Manage
- Click Go
- Select ContactMonkey and click Remove to delete it
- Click OK
- Restart Outlook

After Uninstalling
After removing ContactMonkey:
- Any emails you've already sent with tracking will still show statistics in your ContactMonkey dashboard
- Templates and data stored in your ContactMonkey account remain accessible through the web dashboard
- To reinstall ContactMonkey later, click here
Troubleshooting
ContactMonkey doesn't appear in the Add-ins list
The Add-in may not be properly installed. Try Method 1 (Control Panel) instead.
Can't remove the Add-in
Make sure you have administrator permissions on your computer. Contact your IT department if needed.
Add-in reappears after removal
Check if your organization has a group policy that automatically reinstalls Add-ins. Contact your IT department for assistance.
Need to switch to the Office 365 version
Completely uninstall the Non-365 Add-in first using Method 1, then follow the Office 365 installation instructions.
