When sending emails through Outlook 365, always click Send & Track in the ContactMonkey Add-in instead of Outlook's native send button.
Note: Outlook Non-365 users must use Outlook's native send button.
What Send & Track does
The Send & Track button enables ContactMonkey to:
Enable tracking and analytics
ContactMonkey inserts tracking pixels and link trackers into your email, which allows the system to capture opens, clicks, and engagement data in your campaign reports.
Preserve email formatting
ContactMonkey embeds essential code that prevents Outlook from breaking your HTML email's design and layout.
What happens if you use Outlook's send button
Using Outlook's native send button bypasses ContactMonkey's processing. This causes:
Formatting problems:
- Images display enlarged or distorted
- Content blocks become too wide
- Buttons break or don't function, and display a thin black line
- Desktop view shown for mobile view
Lost tracking data:
- No opens, clicks, or engagement metrics captured
- Campaign appears in your dashboard with zero data
No troubleshooting records:
- ContactMonkey cannot log the send event
- Our support team cannot access send records to help resolve issues
