The Content Calendar is your centralized planning hub for managing email communications and events in ContactMonkey. It provides a real-time, unified view of all sent and scheduled emails, plus live and draft events, helping you coordinate timely messaging across your organization. This feature can be accessed by clicking the Calendar tab at the top of the dashboard.

What Appears on the Calendar
The calendar automatically displays:

Team-Specific Display: The calendar shows content for your currently selected team. Switch teams using the team dropdown to view different content.
Content Details: Click any calendar item to view sender, recipients, tags, and other metadata.
Calendar Views
Choose the view that works best for your planning needs:
- Day View - Hourly breakdown of a single day
- Week View - 7-day overview with hourly slots
- Month View (default) - 30-day high-level view
Settings:
- All views start on Sunday
- Toggle weekends on/off in Week and Month views
- Use the view selector in the top navigation
Filtering Calendar Content
Use the left sidebar filters to display specific content types:
Available Filters:
- Emails: Sent or Scheduled
- Events: Live or Draft
- Notes & Blackouts

Interacting with Calendar Items
Viewing Details
Click any calendar item to open:
- Emails → Campaign Overview page
- Events → Event Edit page
Rescheduling with Drag & Drop
How it works:
- Click and hold a calendar item
- Drag it to a new date or time
- Release to reschedule
- Click Confirm

Limitations:
- Events cannot be rescheduled via drag & drop (click to edit instead)
- Month view only supports reschedules to a different day while keeping the same timeslot - you must switch to Week or Day view to reschedule day + time
All Teams View
Use the All Teams toggle (bottom left) to switch between team-specific content and organization-wide content.
Permissions:
- Admins and Owners: See all content across all teams
- Basic Users and Managers: See content from primary and secondary teams only
Exporting Your Calendar
Export your calendar view to share with stakeholders or for external planning.
Export Format: CSV file

How to Export:
- Click Calendar at the top of your dashboard
- Navigate to your desired month
- Select your view (Day, Week, or Month)
- Click Export (top right)

The exported CSV matches the date range of your selected view.

Frequently Asked Questions
When do emails and events appear on the calendar?
- Emails appear immediately when scheduled or when they start sending
- Events appear immediately after creation
Can I export multiple months at once?
No. Exports are limited to the date range of your selected view (Day, Week, or Month). To export multiple months, you'll need to switch to each month and export separately.
Does the export include draft emails?
No. Only scheduled and sent emails appear in the export. Draft emails are not included.
Can I schedule automated exports?
Not at this time. Exports must be generated manually from the Calendar section.
What if I need data older than what's visible on the calendar?
The calendar displays historical data as far back as your account has been active. Use the date navigator to access older months, then export.
Can I export in formats other than CSV?
Currently, only CSV format is supported. However, you can easily convert CSV files to Excel (.xlsx) or other formats after downloading.
