The ContactMonkey Add-in is stored in the Apps section of the ribbon in New Outlook (All Apps in Classic Outlook). If it is missing, you need to enable Optional Connected Experiences in your settings.
Check if Your Add-in is Missing
- Open Outlook and create a new message
- Click the Apps / All Apps icon in the top ribbon
- Check if the ContactMonkey icon appears as a standalone app in the ribbon
Enable Optional Connected Experiences
New Outlook
- Click Settings (gear icon) in the top-right corner
- In the left-hand sidebar, go to General → Privacy and data
- Click the Privacy settings button
- Scroll down to the Optional connected experiences section
- Toggle the switch to On for "Turn on optional connected experiences"
- Click Save or OK
- Close and restart Outlook
Classic Outlook
- Click File in the top-left corner
- Select Options from the left menu
- Click General
- Click Privacy Settings
- Check the box next to Turn on optional connected experiences
- Click OK
- Close and restart Outlook
If ContactMonkey still doesn't appear
Check with your IT administrator to confirm that third-party add-ins are allowed in your organization. Some companies restrict Add-in installations through Microsoft 365 admin policies.
You can also verify that ContactMonkey is installed by checking your Add-in management settings if you're using Classic Outlook:
- Click File → Options → Add-ins
- Look for ContactMonkey in the list of Active Application Add-ins
- If ContactMonkey isn't listed, you may need to reinstall the Add-in
