Troubleshooting Custom GIFs

If your custom GIF appears static in the Email Builder or doesn't animate in recipient emails, follow these steps to ensure proper animation.

Solution: External GIF Hosting

Requirements:

• Third-party GIF hosting service (we recommend Gifyu)
• Your custom GIF file

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Create Your GIF
   • Use any third-party software to create your animated GIF
   • Ensure file size remains under 1MB for optimal performance
2. Generate Public URL
   • Visit https://gifyu.com/
   • Drag your GIF file onto the upload area
   • Click Upload to generate a public URL
   • Right-click the uploaded GIF and select Copy image address
3. Insert Using URL
   • In Email Builder, select the Image content block where you initially uploaded your GIF
   • In the properties menu on the right, paste the image address in the Url field
   • The GIF should now animate properly in your email

Alternative: Creating GIFs in PowerPoint

1. Create slides with your desired content
2. Go to File → Export → Create Animated GIF
3. Click Create GIF to save your file
4. Follow the external hosting steps above
