A QR code lets anyone scan and open your newsletter instantly — no link required. This makes it a great option for extending your campaign beyond the inbox. This article explains how to generate a QR code that links directly to your email, so recipients can scan and open it on any device.
Use a QR code to share your newsletter at in-person events like town halls, display it on printed materials like posters or brochures, add it to a presentation slide, or post it on a TV screen or digital display in your office.
Step 1: Export Your Email as HTML
- Open your desired newsletter in the Email Builder
- Click the down arrow beside Save and Exit and select Export as HTML.
- Save the file to a location you can easily find
Step 2: Upload the HTML File to the File Manager
- Exit the Email Builder and click your name at the top right of the dashboard
- Click File Manager
- Click Upload and select the HTML file you just exported
Step 3: Get the Preview URL
Once the upload is complete, click the Preview button for the file — the icon shows
a square with an arrow pointing diagonally to the top right. Your newsletter will open
in a new browser window or tab.

Copy the URL from your browser's address bar. You'll use this in the next step.
Step 4: Generate the QR Code
Using Chrome's built-in QR code tool:
- In the Chrome browser window showing your newsletter preview, click the vertical three-dot menu at the top right
- Hover over Cast, save, and share
- Select Create QR code
- Download or copy the generated QR code

Alternative method: You can use a free tool like QR Code Generator if you're not using Chrome or Edge. Paste the preview URL into the generator to create your code.
