When sending a tracked campaign from the ContactMonkey Outlook Add-in, the CC field is not supported. This is intentional — adding CC recipients would conflict with how ContactMonkey delivers and tracks your email.
How Tracked Sends Work in Outlook
ContactMonkey treats the To field like a BCC list. When you click Send & Track, ContactMonkey sends a separate, individually addressed copy of your email to each recipient. This means:
- Each recipient only sees their own name in the To field — not the full audience list.
- Recipients cannot use Reply All to reach every person on the distribution.
- Each copy can carry a unique tracking pixel, enabling individual open and click tracking.
Because every send is effectively a private, one-to-one delivery, there is no shared email thread for a CC recipient to be copied on. Adding someone to CC in Outlook before clicking Send & Track will not result in that person receiving a copy of the campaign.
