Overview
To authenticate TriNet HR Platform using an API Key, you will need to provide the following information:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
This guide will walk you through finding or creating those credentials.

You must be an admin in TriNet HR Platform.

Step 1: Contact TriNet HR Platform support
Reach out to TriNet HR Platform support to request API credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) for your account.
Step 2: Enter credentials in the linking flow
- Enter your Client ID and Client Secret in the linking flow to complete the authentication
