This article lists the official Application IDs for every ContactMonkey enterprise application your IT team may see in Microsoft Entra ID. Use these IDs to confirm an application in your tenant is a genuine ContactMonkey app and to assign the correct permissions during setup.
What are ContactMonkey's enterprise applications in Microsoft Entra ID?
ContactMonkey registers enterprise applications in your Microsoft Entra ID tenant so your users can authenticate to the ContactMonkey Add-in and so features like list expansion work. Each application has a unique Application ID — a fixed identifier you can use to confirm the app is legitimately ContactMonkey's.
You'll find these applications in the Microsoft Entra admin center under Entra ID → Enterprise apps. Depending on which ContactMonkey features your organization uses, you may see one or several of the applications below. ContactMonkey also registers separate applications for some integrations, such as SharePoint; those have their own Application IDs and are not listed here.
Which Application IDs belong to ContactMonkey?
Match the Application ID in your tenant against this table to confirm the app is ContactMonkey's and identify what it does.
| Enterprise Application Name | Application ID | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| ContactMonkey | 3575e4af-6e0e-4052-9a30-c7c7a4731eb1 | Gives users access to the Add-in and permission to authenticate |
| ContactMonkey-EU | 7d50b461-a18b-499d-903b-e91adfd9a435 | Gives users access to the Add-in and permission to authenticate |
| ContactMonkey-Utility | f2d7aa34-4578-4917-aa8c-a89cd5bdf289 | Microsoft Graph backend method for Distribution List Expansion |
| ContactMonkey - Exchange Online Admin API | 82316708-06a5-41a2-ad59-d260fcc0a466 | Exchange Online Admin API backend method for Distribution List Expansion |
| ContactMonkey-EWS-Utility | 411f8ab6-394b-4f83-b1cd-d126f5d50c54 | Exchange Web Services (EWS) backend method for Distribution List Expansion |
The ContactMonkey-EWS-Utility application is being deprecated in October 2026. If your organization still uses the EWS backend method for Distribution List Expansion, migrate to the Microsoft Graph or Exchange Online Admin API method before then. Click here for more information.
Why does the application I see depend on my data region?
ContactMonkey uses a separate authentication application for each data region. The ContactMonkey application serves the US region, and the ContactMonkey-EU application serves the EU, AU, and CA regions. Grant access to the application that matches your organization's data region.
If a user signs in to a region that doesn't match your organization's data region, the sign-in goes to a different Application ID. The user then sees an error stating that their administrator needs to grant them access. To fix this, have the user reset their region.
