Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) measures how likely your employees are to recommend your company as a place to work. ContactMonkey displays eNPS results in your campaign dashboard after employees respond to your survey.
How Employees Are Categorized
When employees respond to an eNPS survey, they rate their likelihood to recommend your company on a scale of 0-10. Based on their response, they're categorized as:
- Promoters (9-10): Highly satisfied employees who would recommend your company
- Passives (7-8): Satisfied but unenthusiastic employees who are vulnerable to competitive offerings
- Detractors (0-6): Unhappy employees who could damage your brand through negative word-of-mouth
How Your eNPS Score Is Calculated
Your eNPS score is calculated using this formula:
eNPS = (% of Promoters) - (% of Detractors)
Passives are not included in the calculation but do affect the percentages by being part of the total respondent count.
Understanding Your Score
eNPS scores range from -100 to +100:
- -100 to -1: All employees are detractors (needs immediate attention)
- 0 to +20: Normal range (room for improvement)
- +20 to +40: Good score (employees are generally satisfied)
- +40 to +50: Excellent score (strong employee advocacy)
- +50 to +100: Outstanding score (exceptional workplace culture)
