A shared mailbox allows multiple team members to send emails from a single public email address (like communications@company.com). To send ContactMonkey emails from a shared mailbox, you'll need the proper Outlook permissions configured by your IT administrator.
Before You Begin
Please ensure you have completed the steps in this article.
New Outlook/OWA
- Open a new message in Outlook
- Open the ContactMonkey Add-in
- Click Options above the ribbon
- Check the box for Show From -
- Click the From dropdown that appears above the To field and select your shared mailbox
- If it doesn't appear, select Other email address... and enter the shared mailbox address

Tip: If you experience issues, try switching between the desktop app and the browser.
Classic Outlook
- Open a new message in Outlook
- Open the ContactMonkey Add-in
- Click the From drop-down that appears above the To field
- Select Other Email Address
- In the From... field, type the email address you want the email to come from (e.g. internalcommunications@contactmonkey.com)
- If present, ensure the Send Using field is the Outlook account connected to ContactMonkey
- If there are two versions of the email address present in the From dropdown, select the version that has the X beside it
