Enable Automatic Updates (Recommended)
Automatic updates keep Outlook current without manual intervention. Here's how to enable them:
- Open Microsoft Outlook and click File
- Click Office Account
- Click Update Options
- Select Enable Updates
Once enabled, Outlook will automatically download and install updates when they become available.
Update Outlook Manually
If you need to update immediately or prefer manual control:
- Open Microsoft Outlook and click File
- Click Office Account
- Click Update Options
- Select Update Now
Outlook will check with Microsoft servers and install any available updates.
Troubleshooting: Update Options Not Available
If you don't see the Update Options button, your organization manages Outlook updates through centralized IT policies. Contact your IT department to:
