If the George (or support) chat icon is covering your undo button in the Email Builder and you can't move or reposition it, refreshing the page will remove it. This is a known issue — not a permanent limitation — and it's easy to fix.

Why This Happens
The chat widget stays open across different pages in the ContactMonkey dashboard. When you've previously opened the chat on another page and then navigate to the Email Builder, the chat icon appears in the bottom-left corner — the same spot as the undo and redo controls — blocking access to them.
How to Fix It
- Click Save and Exit to preserve any unsaved changes
- Reopen your draft in the Email Builder
- Refresh your browser page
The chat icon will disappear and your undo controls will be accessible again.
The chat icon will only reappear in the Email Builder if you open the support chat on another dashboard page and then navigate back to the Builder.
Need to Undo Right Now?
If you need to undo a change immediately without refreshing, use a keyboard shortcut — these work even when the chat icon is blocking the undo button:
-
Windows:
Ctrl+Z -
Mac:
Cmd+Z
Still Seeing the Chat Icon After Refreshing?
Try a hard refresh to clear your browser cache:
-
Windows:
Ctrl+Shift+R -
Mac:
Cmd+Shift+R
If the issue persists after a hard refresh, try clearing your browser cache completely.
