Why Segment by Location?
Location-based segmentation is valuable for organizations with:
- Multiple office locations across different cities or countries
- Remote teams distributed across various time zones
- Regional communication needs that differ by location
Example Use Case
A global company with offices in the United States and Ireland can compare engagement metrics between these two locations. Based on the data, the communications team might discover that:
- Irish employees engage more with emails sent in the morning local time
- US employees prefer different content formats
- Certain topics resonate better in specific regions
These insights help optimize content, send times, and communication strategies for each location.
Tips for Using Geolocation Data Effectively
- Compare performance across regions to identify which locations have higher or lower engagement
- Adjust send times based on time zones in your top-performing locations
- Tailor content to address region-specific topics or concerns
- Track trends over time to see if engagement patterns change by location
