ContactMonkey for both our Email and SMS products is a shared contact directory. Meaning, any contacts you upload within the SMS product will be visible in the Email product (with the opposite also being true). If you only use one of the SMS or Email product, the notion of a shared contact directory will not really apply to you.
Please see this short explainer video that explains the notion of a shared contact directory in ContactMonkey.
Shared Contact Directory - Watch Video
If you are an SMS customer, there are a couple of ways to manage the contacts you will send to.
- Within the “Directory” tab, you will be able to filter and create custom saved lists, in addition to uploading brand new contact lists via a CSV file, Azure sync, Workday, or an API integration.
- Please reference the How To Leverage Advanced List Filtering To Segment Your Lists section in this Help Center article for more information on how to save custom lists.
- Please reference the following Help Center articles if you would like to upload contacts in the Directory tab.
