Share your ContactMonkey email campaigns via SMS by creating a web-viewable link. This lets SMS recipients click through to view the full email in their browser—ideal for rich content that doesn't fit in a text message.
Before You Start
You'll need:
- Access to the Email tool
- A completed ContactMonkey email draft
Export Your Email
- If you are currently in the ContactMonkeySMS dashboard, click your name at the top right and select Switch to Mail
- Click Emails at the top
- Select your desired email draft to open it in the Email Builder
- Click the down arrow beside Save and Exit
- Click Export as HTML to download the file to your device
Upload the HTML File
- Click Save and Exit to close the Email Builder
- Click your name at the top right
- Click File Manager
- Click Upload
- Browse and select the HTML file of your campaign
Get Your Shareable Link
- Locate your uploaded HTML file in the File Manager
- Click the Preview button next to the file.
- A new browser window will open, displaying your email
- Copy the complete URL from the address bar of the preview window
Add the Link to Your SMS Campaign
- Click your name at the top right and select Switch to SMS
- Click Compose & Send
- Paste your campaign URL in your SMS message, along with any other text you wish to include
- ContactMonkey will automatically shorten the link to avoid exceeding the 160-character limit
- Complete and send your SMS campaign as usual
What Recipients See
When recipients receive your SMS and click the link, they'll see your full email campaign in their mobile browser. The email displays with all formatting, images, and links intact.
