Inviting New Users to Your Organization
- Click your name in the upper-right corner of the dashboard
- Click Settings → Roles & Access
- Click Invite a User (located in the top-right corner)
- Fill out the invitation form:
- First Name and Last Name
- Email address (this becomes their login username)
- Role (see role definitions for details)
- Primary Team (required)
- Secondary Teams (optional - add multiple if needed)
- Click Invite
The new user will receive an email invitation with login instructions and a getting started guide.
Important: Email at Scale Security Permissions
For security reasons, "send as" permissions are not automatically granted to new users. Administrators must explicitly assign these - more information is available here.
Managing Pending Invitations
Resending invitations
- Click your name at the top right of your dashboard
- Click Settings → Roles & Access
- In the Users sub-tab, search for the user (they must show Pending status)
- Click the ellipses (...) next to their name
- Select Resend invite
Withdrawing invitations
- Click your name at the top right of your dashboard
- Click Settings → Roles & Access
- In the Users sub-tab, search for the user (they must show Pending status)
- Click the ellipses (...) next to their name
- Click Withdraw
Editing User Role
- Click your name at the top right of your dashboard
- Click Settings → Roles & Access
- In the Users sub-tab, search for the user
- Click the ellipses (...) next to their name
- Click Edit
- Click the Role drop-down in the pop-up and select the new role
- Click Save
Deactivating Users
When to deactivate users
Deactivate users when they leave your organization or no longer need access to ContactMonkey.
How to deactivate
- Click your name at the top right of your dashboard
- Click Settings → Roles & Access
- In the Users sub-tab, search for the active user
- Click the ellipses (...) next to their name
- Select Deactivate
Important notes about deactivation:
- User access is immediately removed
- All assets owned by the user remain with their assigned teams
- Users can be reactivated by sending a new invitation to the same email address
