The ContactMonkey Email Builder is a drag-and-drop editor that lets you create professional email campaigns for newsletters, product announcements, promotions, and more—all without needing HTML knowledge.
How the Editor Works
The Email Builder facilitates the creation of responsive designs that look great on both desktop and mobile devices. You can build emails by dragging content blocks into your message and customizing their appearance using the properties menu.
Editor Layout
The Editor has two main areas:
Message Stage (Left Side)
This is your canvas where you build your email. Drag content blocks and structural elements here to create your message.
Properties Menu (Right Side)
This panel contains three tabs for customizing your email:
- Content - Add and edit individual elements like text, images, buttons, and dividers
- Rows - Choose structural layouts (single-column, multi-column, etc.) to organize your content
- Settings - Configure email-wide settings like default fonts and content width
Structure vs. Content
The editor separates your email's structure from its content, giving you maximum design flexibility. This means you can:
- Use different layouts for different sections (full-width headers, multi-column content, etc.)
- Maintain mobile responsiveness regardless of your design choices
- Mix and match structural elements without breaking your email's formatting
