Filters help you focus on specific email data by narrowing down which campaigns appear in your Email Analytics table. Combined with column customization, filters allow you to create detailed reports tailored to your analysis needs.
How Filters Work
Filters control which emails appear in your Email Analytics table. Each filter consists of three components:
- Metric - The data field you're filtering
- Operator - How you want to filter
- Condition - Your specific criteria

Key difference: Adding a filter removes data from your report. Adding a column just changes what you can see without hiding data. For more on columns, click here.
Text-Based Filters
Text-based filters apply to fields containing text, such as email subjects or sender names.
Text Filter Operators
- Equals - Matches the criteria exactly as entered
- Does not equal - Does not match the exact criteria entered
- Contains - Includes the criteria anywhere in the field
- Does not contain - Does not include the criteria anywhere in the field
Example
Filter Subject to show only emails containing "Q4 All-Hands":
- Metric: Subject
- Operator: Contains
- Condition: Q4 All-Hands
Number-Based Filters
Number-based filters apply to metrics involving quantities, percentages, and counts.
Number Filter Operators
- Equals - Exactly matches the criteria
- Does not equal - Does not match the criteria
- Less than - Lower than the criteria (exclusive of the number itself)
- Greater than - Higher than the criteria (exclusive of the number itself)
- Between - Between two specified numbers (inclusive)
Example
Filter Open Rate to show campaigns that performed above average:
- Metric: Open Rate
- Operator: Greater than
- Condition: 50
Stacking Multiple Filters
You can apply multiple filters to the same metric using AND/OR operators:
- AND - Both conditions must be met
- OR - Either condition can be met
Example
Show emails from a specific sender that also have high click rates:
- Filter 1: Sent By = Marketing Team AND
- Filter 2: Click Rate > 25
Available Filters
All metrics available as columns can also be used as filters. Here's the complete list organized by category:
- Email Summary
- Dynamic Content
- Opens/Clicks
- Audience Engagement
- Social Channels
Removing Filters
Delete the condition you entered, and the Email Analytics table will automatically remove the unwanted data.
Pro Tips
- Use the Between operator for metrics like open rates to compare performance tiers (30-50%, 50-75%, 75%+)
- Combine Contains operators to find campaigns by topic (e.g., Subject contains "update" OR Subject contains "announcement")
- Save your filtered view for quick access later
