Saved reports let you store custom report configurations so you can quickly access the same view without rebuilding filters and columns each time. You can create saved reports, manage them, and download the data as CSV files.
Creating a Saved Report
Any user can create saved reports for their own use, regardless of their permission level.
- Click Reports at the top of the ContactMonkey dashboard
- Apply your desired columns and filters
- Click Save Report in the top right
- Enter a name for your report
- Click Save
Viewing Saved Reports
Saved reports are stored separately for easy organization.
- In the Reports section, click Saved Reports
- Click any report name to open it
What You'll See
When you open a saved report, you can view:
- Date the report was created
- Date the report was last edited
- Selected date range included in the report
- Name of the user who created the report
- Total campaigns included in the report
- All data with your saved filters and columns applied
Editing Saved Reports
You can modify saved reports by changing filters, columns, or the report name.
Edit Filters or Columns
- Open the saved report
- Add or remove columns and filters as needed
- Click Save to apply changes
Your changes will update the saved report immediately.
Rename a Saved Report
- In the Saved Reports section, click Actions next to the report you wish to rename
- Select Rename and enter a new name
- Click Save
Deleting Saved Reports
You can delete reports individually or in bulk.
Delete One Report
- In the Saved Reports section, click Actions next to the report you wish to delete
- Select Delete and confirm
Bulk Delete
- In the Saved Reports section, check the boxes next to the reports you wish to delete
- Click the blue Actions button at the top right
- Select Delete and confirm
Alternatively, check the box at the top left to select all reports at once.
Note: You cannot bulk download or bulk rename reports. These actions must be completed one report at a time.
Downloading Reports
Export your email analytics data as CSV files for use in spreadsheets, presentations, or external analysis tools.
- Click Reports at the top of the ContactMonkey dashboard
- Apply your desired columns and filters
- Click Download Report in the top right
- Check your email
Download From a Saved Report
- In the Reports section, click Saved Reports
- Click Actions next to your desired report
- Select Download Report
- Check your email
Your download will include all filters and columns that were selected.
Understanding Your CSV Download
When you request a download, ContactMonkey emails you a link to your CSV file. Here's what to expect:
- Email from: cm@support.contactmonkey.com
- Contains: A downloadable CSV link with your report data
- Link expiration: 24 hours
If the link expires before you download, simply request the download again—there's no limit to how many times you can request it.
How Saved Reports Handle New Data
Without a date filter: Your saved report automatically updates each time you view it to include newly sent campaigns.
With a date filter: Your saved report shows only campaigns within your specified date range and won't include new campaigns outside that range.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I bulk download multiple reports at once?
A: No, downloads must be completed one report at a time. You can request multiple downloads in sequence and manage them from your email.
Q: Can I edit a saved report without saving changes?
A: No, all changes must be saved. If you want to experiment with filters without changing your saved report, work in the Email Analytics tab instead.
