ContactMonkey's Campaigns section provides many different analytics your team can use to make data-driven decisions. These include open rates, link clicks, read time, and locations.
Customers can track metrics based on Overall, Individual, or Anonymous tracking.
Tracking Opens
ContactMonkey tracks email opens by automatically injecting an invisible 1x1 image (tracker) into the body of your email as it is sent out. When your recipient opens the email (and displays images), the tracking image is triggered, registering an email opening for that recipient.
Tracking Clicks
Any link you insert into a ContactMonkey email will be tracked and reported on. This goes for buttons, hyperlinks, social media accounts, and attachments. The link is tracked using a URL redirect, meaning it will hit a ContactMonkey domain first and then be directed to the link you provided.
Tracking Read Time
When you send an email campaign with ContactMonkey, we insert a tracking pixel that can determine whether the email has been open for either 1-3 seconds, 4-9 seconds, or 10+ seconds.
Tracking Locations
When the tracker for opens or clicks is triggered, ContactMonkey reports the location (city and country) where the opening or click occurred. The location information is gathered using the device's IP address opening the email.
Custom URL
ContactMonkey's Custom URL feature can also be used to change the URLs shown for tracking to be displayed as originating from a customer's domain. This can help customers who would like to have consistent branding and information for their internal emails and help with attaining accurate information about campaigns
