Publish any email you’ve already sent as a branded, trackable web page, so people who weren’t on the send list — or who don’t have a company inbox, like frontline and deskless workers — can still read it. The published page appears in your Pages list with the type Email and reports its own view and visitor analytics.
Prerequisites
- Pages is an add-on. If you don’t see the Pages section in your dashboard, contact your Customer Success Manager or email support@contactmonkey.com.
- The email must have finished sending — sends that are in progress, cancelled, or failed can’t be published.
- Dynamic Content emails can’t be published. Each recipient saw a different version, so there’s no single version to turn into a page.
How to Publish a Sent Email as a Page
- Click Emails at the top of the ContactMonkey dashboard
- Select Sent
- Click the vertical three-dot menu item on the email you want to publish
- Select Publish email
The page goes live immediately and opens in Page Details, where you can copy its link, download its QR code, and view its analytics.
Each email can be published once. After publishing, the Publish email option becomes Manage Page.
What Appears On the Published Page
- The email exactly as it was sent. Any changes made to the email’s template after it was sent don’t appear on the page.
- Surveys, events, and text-to-speech still work. Readers can answer surveys, register for events, and play the Listen to this email audio from the page.
-
Merge tags appear as placeholders. Personalized fields — the dynamic fields that normally fill in a recipient’s details — show as the tag itself (for example,
{{first_name}}), because the page isn’t sent to a specific recipient.
Email pages are view-only and can’t be opened in the Email Builder. To publish different content, create a new page.
How to Manage a Published Email Page
- Open the page: in Sent, click the vertical three-dot menu item beside your desired email, then Manage Page. You can also open the email and click its Page tab.
- Unpublish or republish: in Page Details, unpublish the page to take it offline. If you publish it again later, it keeps the same link, so anything you’ve already shared still works.
- Delete the page: delete it from Page Details. Deleting the page doesn’t affect the original email.
