Survey access varies by user role and team structure. Understanding these permissions helps you manage survey creation and data access effectively.
Role-Based Permissions
Basic Users Can:
- Edit and archive their own reusable surveys
- View only their own survey results and analytics
- Use and insert teammates' reusable surveys into emails
Managers Can:
- Edit and archive team reusable surveys
- Use all team reusable surveys
- View team survey analytics and results
Admins & Owners Can:
- Access all reusable surveys across the organization
- View all survey analytics and results
- Manage surveys for any team
Team-Based Access
Important Notes:
- Survey results are team-specific and cannot be viewed across different teams
- Surveys and data are tied to the team where they were created
Permission Scenarios
Scenario 1: Basic User wants to see a teammate's survey results.
Answer: Not possible. Basic Users can only view their own survey analytics.
Scenario 2: Manager needs to edit a Basic User's survey.
Answer: Possible if both users are on the same team.
Scenario 3: Admin wants to view surveys across all teams.
Answer: Full access to all surveys and results organization-wide.
